Peters Canyon Sunset
$8.00 – $122.00
12″x9″ pastels on uart paper, framed
This is my fourth pastel painting. It is so different from oil, but I am enjoying the process. This is a scene from a wash along which I walk, all part of a large park. I typically walk in the area from the 5 Freeway at El Camino Real to the area where the trail forks in a residential section (the street names are Burlingame and Mineral Springs). I have seen a coyote or two but typically one sees many ducks, ravens, and an occasional heron or egret. In a rare while you will even see a goose. Although I usually walk in the morning, on occasion I go in the evening, which is how I caught this sunset.
