A bit about me

How it all started

Some are born with a silver spoon; I was born with a paintbrush in my hand. My childhood memories of growing up in the cities and countryside of Italy inspired me to recapture their beauty and energy.

I love framing a scene with my eyes and then shooting it with a camera. For a painting, I choose a photograph and then interpret it through paint, capturing the lyrical sense of color and serenity of the scene.

My Influences

My influences include the great artists from the 19th century.

Most of my oil painting techniques were learned under the tutelage of the Italian maestro, Bruno di Maio. Currently, I do spend studio time with a local artist, Russ Varon, of Fine Art Studio in Tustin, California.

My great-grandmother and mother were artists, so the apple did not fall far from the tree.
